| Rural Exchange New Zealand Ltd (RENZ) is owned and operated by Vicky and David Lucas from their base at Clarkville, near Christchurch, in the South Island of New Zealand. Vicky Lucas is the director of the company. She has a long history of working in agricultural tourism and exchange. She is assisted by David Lucas, who has been an agricultural journalist, and horticulturalist, before coming into the exchange work. RENZ has been operating since 1995, and has been the means by which hundreds of young people from many different countries have been able to enjoy a rural working adventure in New Zealand, and young Kiwis have been able to experience rural work abroad. RENZ works with a large network of co-operating partners in many countries, all engaged in a similar activity - that of making it possible for young people to broaden their horizons through overseas experiences.
